SAINT LOUIS UPDATE

The St. Louis Leather Community stepped up to Ms. McGee's challenge and contributed $530 to Peter and Paul Community Services' "Positive Directions" program. Three local groups, FLOG, PEP, and St. Louis Leather and Lace, made a combined contribution in honor of the Leather Day of Caring.

"We were fortunate in that all three groups had events scheduled before April 19, " the local organizer said. "We were able to raise funds strictly through cash donations. St. Louis folks are generous and caring. Karen McGee's call to action was the nudge we needed to display our giving nature."

There are already plans in the works for a bigger and better project for the next Leather Day of Caring.
