CHARLESTON LEATHER TIME OF CARING The
local BDSM/Leather/Munch groups have come together to help our community
in Charleston. There is currently a nationwide push for the leather community
to raise funds for the homeless. The 3D Munch Group, ChaSM, Leather Plantation,
and Fem Dom group have decided to make this a united effort.
Please join us in coming together as a community for a common good! The homeless shelter we have chosen to help is the Good Neighbor Center. It currently houses 36 male Veterans. The Center has successfully treated drug and alcohol addiction at a rate higher then that of programs among the general population. The Center also has been successful in job placement and helping people to transition into their own homes. It offers an extensive list of professional counseling services for all people staying at the shelter. ChaSM, 3D, Leather Plantation, and the Carolina FemDom groups have decided to arrange several open social events over the next 2 months in order to raise funds and/or goods for the Good Neighbor Center. Trident Knights will be supporting us in these endeavors. Several groups will also be changing donation fees for events to augment this fundraising effort and also collecting goods at the local group events already scheduled. March 30th, April 13th, May 4th - ChaSM Bondage Demo April 2nd - 3D SSSB billiards night (all welcome) April 16th - Carolina FemDom billiards night April 24th - 3D Munch Group billiards night There will be raffle tickets sold as always for this fundraising event. The money for the raffle tickets will pay for the tables and then be dispersed as a 50/50 drawing. 1/2 of the money will be for the winner and 1/2 will go to the shelter. If you would like to donate goods at these events we will also have collection boxes handy. A list of needed goods is listed below. towels and washcloths disposable razors, shaving cream men's socks dental floss, toothbrushes, and tooth paste deodorant shampoo kleenex and toilet tissue work and dress gloves VHS movies paperback books for reading room plastic knives, forks, and spoons paper towels, napkins, paper plates, and cups plastic knives, forks, and spoons **underwear and t-shirts (S, M, L, XL, XXL) canned goods stamps candy, gum, cookies soft drinks bath mats nails, hammers, screw drivers, hand saw, drill rakes, shovels, gardening items, plants, flowers Currently they have plenty of clothes donations and asked that those be donated somewhere where they may have a greater need. Otherwise I was told they could use anything. The Center does depend on outside donations to feed the people living there. Any special items for the holidays are also appreciated (ham/cakes....)
