KINK KOUNTY FAIR HELD AS PART OF
NATIONWIDE “A LEATHER DAY OF CARING”

Albuquerque's Leather Community is joining in a nationwide event called “A Leather Day of Caring”.

Leather folks and groups in the Albuquerque community including Alternative Erotic Lifestyles (AEL), Pat Baillie – International Ms. Leather (IMsL)1995, and Albuquerque Mining Company (AMC) will host an event on April 19, 2003 as a benefit for New Mexico AIDS Services (NMAS) homeless housing project.

This is your chance to check out the leather community here in New Mexico and help raise funds for a good cause. The event will be at AMC and starts at 10:00 pm. There will be fantasy performances on stage and many art/leather/toy vendors such as High Plains Leather and artwork by Darla Hallmark. If you’re not watching the
stage, you can check out the Kink Kounty Fair where you can delight your senses while trying various “kinks” at the hands of the leading experts in the leather community in a safe, sane, consensual and fun environment.

“A Leather Day of Caring” is a concept created by Karen McGee, Ms World Leather 2002 and Jill Carter, President of the Ms World Leather Organization.. The reason for doing this is to raise awareness of the various needs in our community and to unite the local Leather Community both here and across the world, if only for one day. As the statement in the initial press release says,
